\nNUEVA YORK. El dominicano Karl-Anthony Towns, de los Minnesota Timberwolves, y el let\u00f3n Kristaps Porzingis, de los New York Knicks, fueron nombrados Novatos del Mes de diciembre en la Conferencia Oeste y Este, respectivamente.<\/p>\n

Ambos repiten designaci\u00f3n, puesto que tambi\u00e9n fueron elegidos como mejores novatos de noviembre y son los principales aspirantes al t\u00edtulo de rookie del a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Los n\u00fameros de Towns son a\u00fan mejores que los del europeo. El p\u00edvot ha promediado 18,6 puntos, 9,5 rebotes y 1,6 tapones en 16 partidos, con ocho dobles-dobles de tantos y capturas.<\/p>\n

En tanto que el ex-ACB Porzingis, que complet\u00f3 su formaci\u00f3n europea en el CB Sevilla, ha promediado durante el pasado mes 12,6 puntos, 6,4 rebotes y 2,0 tapones. El let\u00f3n hizo durante ese tiempo cuatro dobles-dobles de tantos y rechaces, y el equipo donde comparte vestuario con Jos\u00e9 Manuel Calder\u00f3n gan\u00f3 siete de sus 15 compromisos.<\/p>\n
